About the Role

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, driving tangible, impactful results for clients. VCA solves strategic problems for clients using expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments, and economics. The Senior Consultant will report to the Visa United Kingdom & Ireland Consulting team, delivering projects for clients in the payments domain. This role oversees consulting activities, delivers high-quality engagements in the UK & I Cluster, builds client relationships, manages project teams, and assumes responsibility for project budgets, contributing to sales and delivery targets.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client business objectives, needs, and plans in collaboration with the Account Management Team.
  • Identify opportunities and improvements to grow client businesses.
  • Develop and propose appropriate project approaches and business solutions to clients.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of assigned consultancy engagements to clients.
  • Lead and deliver projects using internal or external staff as appropriate.
  • Manage the delivery of analytics solutions and data insights with the Data Science team.
  • Manage project costs to agreed budgets and timeframes, ensuring high delivery standards.
  • Develop Thought Leadership on topics including the future of payments and the UK&I banking ecosystem.
  • Leverage Visa’s innovation, product, and data capabilities to grow client businesses by collaborating with sales, product, innovation, and Data Sciences teams.
  • Build and retain Visa Consulting relationships with key clients.
  • Support Visa Consulting and Analytics practice development by enhancing personal and team skills, tools, and innovative methodologies.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in retail banking, payment card industry, or merchant retail business.
  • 5-10 years of experience in management consulting, with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies.
  • Project experience in a digital and technology-driven environment.
  • High intellectual capability with strong analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools, and using data insights for business growth in a digital and technology-driven environment.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, including at senior executive level and across all organizational levels.
  • Strong sales orientation and experience selling major projects or ideas to senior management.
  • Excellent spoken and written command of English.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to comprehend and convey complex technical information.
  • Strong Business Acumen and Business Analysis Skills (research and analyze market and client information).
  • High levels of integrity and business ethics.
  • Willingness to travel where required.
  • Willingness to maintain professional development.
