About the Role
Perform pre-delivery inspections on all types of buses, modifying non-compliant vehicles to meet customer and DOT specifications.
Responsibilities
- Understand DOT requirements for School and Commercial buses
- Read and understand PDI work orders
- Modify buses to meet DOT and customer specifications regarding seat placement, air systems, chassis, and body
- Maintain a professional relationship with DOT inspector and collaborate during inspection
- Follow all prescribed safety methods and perform work safely
Requirements
- Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial and school vehicles
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and understand DOT and Blue Bird specification sheets
