About the Role

Create and maintain designs, layouts, drawings, and documentation for product lines including motors, generators, and magnetic drives. Ensure compliance with internal and international standards and specifications for satisfactory product performance. Support customer orders from proposal through design, development, manufacturing, testing, and aftermarket phases. Collaborate and share best design practices within the WEG Company.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain standards, designs, drawings, and specifications for quotations, products, and aftermarket.
  • Develop project schedules to meet required timelines.
  • Resolve production problems and provide technical and process assistance to the shop.
  • Incorporate manufacturability input from Manufacturing Engineering into designs.
  • Support Marketing inquiries and new orders, ensuring technical and economic feasibility.
  • Perform other assigned activities.

Requirements

  • 0-7 years of experience building on Detail and Layout Drafter roles.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented, flexible, and team-player mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, changing priorities and problem-solve simultaneously.
  • Proven record of managing projects with quantifiable results.
  • Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities, including climbing stairs and navigating shop machinery.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
