About the Role
This field-based sales leadership position drives commitment and accountability within a core laboratory sales team to achieve and exceed sales goals. The role focuses on growing revenue for Siemens central lab product lines, including chemistry, immunoassay, coagulation, hematology, plasma protein, allergy, automation, and information technology, across assigned integrated delivery networks, hospital laboratories, regional reference labs, and physician office labs.
Responsibilities
- Develop assigned sales teams, ensuring competence in customer management, product positioning, and sales processes.
- Coach and manage adherence to commercial best practices.
- Hire and develop a sales team of 6-8 direct reports, setting expectations, providing feedback, and discussing development opportunities.
- Manage performance improvement cases as needed.
- Determine priorities for 'must win' deals, including short-term (3-6 months) and long-term (2-3 years) strategic sales plans.
- Coach the team on account strategy and own commercial outcomes for new instrument opportunities, including reagent and consumable revenue, TCO, and instrument placements.
- Cultivate direct customer relationships, understand market conditions, and lead the sales team to address customer needs and deliver the Siemens Healthineers value proposition.
- Execute and manage all key sales operational activities and metrics, including sales funnel management, CRM rigor, sales processes, critical account coverage, and financial health.
- Own capital and reagent forecasting for the region, ensuring quality and accuracy across all product lines and financial outcomes per deal.
- Own commercial outcomes for existing customers, focusing on reagent and consumable revenue growth, menu expansion, and contract compliance.
- Conduct regular reviews with the Area Vice President and Field Product Manager to drive commercial strategy.
- Drive teamwork with Strategic Corporate Accounts, internal sales teams, distribution partners, and service organizations to achieve sales goals.
- Lead collaborative efforts with internal and external Siemens Healthineers teams to ensure excellent customer solutions and experiences.
- Leverage Healthcare Consulting Services (HCS) and Informatics Sales Specialists for sales cycle support.
- Develop and manage a strong collaborative environment within the team and with partners, focusing on solution-based approaches and balancing customer needs with financial goals.
- Lead the assigned sales region to achieve and exceed sales goals across all Laboratory Solutions products.
- Accountable for the financial performance of the sales team in the region.
- Manage and resolve business problems, especially in dynamic environments.
- Exercise good judgment and decision-making aligned with Siemens Healthineers commercial strategy.
Requirements
- Proven track record leading sales teams in Laboratory Diagnostics.
- Reside and possess experience within the specified region, with knowledge of Integrated Delivery Networks.
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in a complex sales environment (e.g., Capital equipment, Medical Devices).
- Experience in a solution-selling environment and large account development.
- High level of strategic decision-making with a focus on impact and speed.
- Strong critical thinking, advanced sales, problem-solving, and objection handling skills.
- Experience developing account-level deal strategy (e.g., Miller Heiman) and organizing team execution.
- Direct management experience of a sales team within the IVD marketspace.
- Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with the Area VP and conveying AVP direction to the sales force.
- Effective communication via email, Teams, and in-person with customers, internal teams, and leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of product lines, markets, and competitors.
- BS/BA in a related discipline, advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
- No prior DUI/DWI convictions, pending DUI/DWI charges, or other serious moving violations (unless prohibited by law) due to Fleet Safety Policy.

Salary/Compensations
- $159,200 - $218,900 base pay range
