About the Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) supports the U.S. nemolizumab team by developing and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs). The MSL provides comprehensive, compliant medical and scientific support for nemolizumab, focusing on proactive and reactive scientific information exchange with HCPs, clinical investigators, and professional organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate a network of key opinion leaders.
  • Drive regional, national, and international external expert and influencer identification, tiering, and development for nemolizumab.
  • Prepare and execute key opinion leader (KOL) engagement plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute US KOL and US Institution plans within the assigned geography.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify opportunities for developing algorithms and guidelines.
  • Execute qualitative and quantitative metrics aligned with the US medical affairs strategy.
  • Identify, collect, and communicate medical insights and feedback from scientific exchange to support medical affairs strategies.
  • Conduct and implement a comprehensive disease awareness tactical plan, serving as an educational resource to healthcare providers on disease state concepts through presentations and discussions.
  • Provide in-depth, compliant drug, mechanism of action, and emerging clinical information to healthcare providers.
  • Serve as a liaison to healthcare professionals, professional organizations, and disease state advocacy groups.
  • Support patient support groups and educational foundations.
  • Conduct discussions with HCPs to identify potential research gaps.
  • Identify and facilitate data generation activities through proposals for posthoc analyses, Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs), and Medical Affairs-sponsored studies aligned with Galderma’s strategic focus.
  • Attend congresses, engage with external stakeholders, prepare summaries, and present key perspectives including competitor analyses to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide educational meeting support at scientific congresses.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in atopic dermatitis and prurigo nodularis through scientific literature review.
  • Develop and conduct external and internal trainings and continuing education, including sales training, speaker training, and advisory board alignment.
  • Ensure timely and compliant execution of all activities and responses with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide medical and scientific support for planning and executing advisory boards, including reviewing speaker presentations and providing medical background.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., PA, NP, or M.D. degrees considered.
  • Three or more years of clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research preferred.
  • Experience in a medically related field, including post-doctoral training (residencies and/or fellowships).
  • Dermatology or Immunology background preferred.
  • Biologic and/or launch experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
  • Adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively within a team and with external HCPs and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to interface effectively with various technical platforms.
  • Solid understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other US regulatory principles.
  • Current working knowledge of US legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to function with purposeful urgency in a team-oriented (matrix) environment.
  • Strong scientific and/or clinical acumen.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively with urgency in an evolving environment.
  • Superior soft skills and demonstrated credibility with medical professionals, with the ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Ability to complete expense reports compliantly and timely.
  • Ability to manage travel in an organized and effective manner.
  • Ability to travel 70-80%.
