About the Role

This role is within Vattenfall's Business Area Wind, specifically the Onshore Business Unit, which is a leading developer in Europe. The unit aims for profitable growth to achieve fossil-free living. As a Senior Business Transformation Manager, you will be crucial in enabling the onshore wind industry's pipeline by solving complex business challenges. This involves managing strategic initiatives, pioneering innovation, developing new business models, and collaborating with communities and the environment. You will also help major businesses achieve sustainability goals through partnerships. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, scope, and lead strategic, cross-functional projects aligned with the company's strategy and operating model. As part of the Onshore Business Excellence team, you will drive business transformation projects to meet strategic and operational targets, including operating model improvements, business digitalization, and fostering smart ways of working. The team functions as an internal consultancy, combining industry expertise with strong project and process management skills to support organizational change.

Responsibilities

  • Identify challenges and improvement opportunities within BU Onshore.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-departmental improvement initiatives, including scoping, leading, and implementing strategic projects.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, facilitate impactful workshops, and ensure project success through effective communication and analysis.
  • Drive and deliver fast-paced, time-sensitive organizational projects for senior management.
  • Act as a Business Improvement Partner and internal advisor to departmental leadership within the Onshore development organization.
  • Mentor and develop project teams and input providers, fostering team morale and productivity.
  • Support team development initiatives, including retrospectives and continuous improvement actions.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (or equivalent) in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in a transformation, improvement, strategy, or management consulting role.
  • Background in the Energy sector; experience in Finance, Environment, or Sustainability is a plus.
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from problem identification to solution development.
  • Ability to work effectively in rapidly changing, fast-paced environments and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Structured, analytical approach to complex organizational challenges, using problem-solving and design thinking.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders including Senior Management.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, with a hands-on mindset and focus on tangible impact.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Additional language skills in German, Swedish, Danish, or Dutch are a plus.
