About the Role
The Shift Leader is a full-time role responsible for leading peers, supporting daily operations, maintaining the Judgement Free Zone®, and driving club priorities and KPI goals. This role focuses on providing an exceptional member experience through consistent team communication and interaction.
Responsibilities
- Guide peers to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Model and coach behaviors for an outstanding member experience.
- Support team members with elevated member concerns.
- Greet members and guests, assisting with check-in questions or concerns.
- Promote the Judgement Free Zone® by interacting with members, offering assistance, and upholding club policies.
- Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager as needed.
- Answer phones professionally and assist callers with inquiries.
- Perform membership functions including sign-ups, updates, cancellations, balance collection, and transfers.
- Conduct prospective member calls and tours, assessing membership needs.
- Execute retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals.
- Regularly clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities, including communal spaces.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter-free following routine schedules.
- Perform frequent comprehensive walks of all club areas, addressing safety, policy, and cleanliness concerns.
- Promptly address maintenance and facility concerns such as broken or missing equipment.
Requirements
- 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Proven background leading others.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided).
- Continual standing and moving throughout the club to accomplish tasks.
- Continual communication in person or on the phone.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Will encounter toxic chemicals.
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
- Ability to move in different positions, including bending and twisting, to accomplish tasks.
