About the Role

Ensure legal compliance with local statutory requirements and continually improve the Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS). Develop relationships with business leaders and actively promote health and safety across the Europe Middle East Africa region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the EHSMS, including reviewing, updating, and implementing health and safety documentation, and improving EHSMS compliance.
  • Assist in developing and delivering the health and safety strategy across the EMEA region.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to drive EHS improvements against goals and objectives.
  • Conduct or participate in emergency evacuation drills and update emergency information and signage.
  • Pre-qualify and approve contractors.
  • Review risk assessments and method statements for outside vendors/contractors on NBCUniversal premises.
  • Conduct risk assessments for events and incidental tasks according to guidelines.
  • Report major incidents immediately to Corp EHS and external agencies, leading accident investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Review and update the site training matrix, arrange training for team members (first aid, fire warden), and provide induction for new starters.
  • Host Safety Meetings (fire wardens, first aiders, EHS Committee).
  • Support Security, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity programs.
  • Liaise with external regulators as necessary.
  • Provide the International EHS Director with weekly EHS summary reports.
  • Undertake regular maintenance of Gensuite, including logging employee labor hours, verifying/correcting metrics for quarterly roll-up, and monitoring metrics to identify improvement plans.
  • Manage health and safety requirements for special events (e.g., Cares Day), including site visits, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
  • Respond to emergency incidents.
  • Liaise with local external agencies (Police, Government Agencies) on security or criminal investigation issues as directed.
  • Audit compliance against NBCUniversal standards, procedures, and local legal requirements.
  • Perform any other duties deemed reasonable by the International EHS Director.

Requirements

  • Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards Chartered Member of IOSH

  • NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
