About the Role

The Partner Lead for Japan will build and reinforce strategic relationships with senior executives from Forum Partner companies, develop new Forum Partners, and support their conversion. This role works closely with Partner Success specialists in Japan and reports to the Head of Business Engagement, Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key executives, coordinating with the Partner Services Team in Japan.
  • Ensure partner retention by developing tailored engagement plans and deepening engagement in Forum activities, collaborating with the Partner Success Team.
  • Visit partners regularly to discuss institutional priorities and build executive agendas, collaborating with the Partner Success Team.
  • Monitor partner news, health, and engagement quality across industries, centers, and events to identify engagement risks.
  • Communicate detected risks and implement preventive measures by mobilizing relevant teams, collaborating with the Partner Services Team.
  • Document all partner interactions accurately in Salesforce and notify relevant internal stakeholders for effective engagement.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of partner strategies, priorities, regions, and industry sectors.
  • Lead business and partner development initiatives, aligning with regional goals and organizational priorities.
  • Identify and develop a robust pipeline of potential new partners in Japan, aligning with Forum strategic goals and regional needs.
  • Engage potential partners to discuss institutional priorities and advance new partnership discussions, collaborating with the Japan Business team.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the Japanese market and industry trends to network and engage with top executives.
  • Manage regional collaboration with Forum colleagues, including Heads of Industries, for new partner development.
  • Design and implement strategic initiatives to engage and onboard potential partners, aligning with key performance indicators.
  • Manage and guide local business team members within the Japan office.
  • Oversee and coordinate business engagement and partner retention efforts, collaborating with the Partner Success Team.
  • Build and nurture impactful relationships with C-suite executives to enhance partner engagement and retention.
  • Leverage analytics to drive engagement strategies and expand the partner portfolio.
  • Utilize Salesforce for partner relationship management and documentation.
  • Ensure a 'One-Forum' approach in all interactions, fostering seamless internal collaboration for optimal partner experience.

Requirements

  • Proven track record engaging with CEOs and C-suite executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Japanese business environment.
  • Exceptional collaborative and management skills.
  • Native Japanese speaker.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
