About the Role
Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's global division supporting complex corporate and institutional clients with customized services and wholesale products. Global Transaction Banking (GTB), part of Santander Global Banking & Markets, manages working capital financing, risk mitigation solutions, Trade Finance, Asset Finance Solutions, and Cash Management.
Responsibilities
- Help clients achieve strategic goals using Santander's Trade Finance products.
- Advise clients and prospects on Trade Finance solution implementation and impact on key metrics.
- Build sector expertise and analyze trends related to Santander Trade Finance products.
- Accompany CIB in senior client meetings to share Santander's vision.
- Deliver income targets for a pre-agreed client portfolio, ensuring quality results.
- Cross-sell other GTB products (ECA, cash) by introducing appropriate counterparties.
- Collaborate with CIB to develop commercial plans, business strategies, and risk presentations.
- Ensure adequate follow-up on transactions to generate new opportunities and revenue.
- Monitor business performance and pipeline evolution, reporting results.
- Coordinate with the risk department on transactions, aligning risk appetite with client commercial plans.
Requirements
- Previous sales experience in financial services with direct P&L responsibility.
- In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance, including Receivables Discounting, Supply Chain Finance, and Structured Trade Finance.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to marketing and sales, client-centric.
- Ability to adopt, widen, and understand the GTB UK product portfolio for cross-selling.
- Well-developed planning, organization, and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to working independently and in teams.
- Asset finance (ECA & leasing) and Cash Management product knowledge.
- Spanish language skills.
