About the Role
As a Sector Lead on our Directed Content team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring AlphaSense delivers the highest-quality proprietary research content within your assigned sector. Reporting to the Director of Research you will oversee the day-to-day execution of Directed Content projects, ensuring all work meets the firm’s standards for quality, relevance, and, end-user value delivery. As Sector Lead, you will manage coverage of EMEA and APAC companies. You will combine operational rigor with sector expertise to oversee a team of Project Managers responsible for generating expert call transcripts across a diverse range of topics within your coverage universe. Your responsibilities will span project setup, expert sourcing guidance, transcript quality assurance, budget oversight, and performance management. Acting as the connective layer between the Director of Research’s strategic vision and day-to-day execution, you will ensure flawless delivery of sector coverage plans while maintaining a pulse on emerging market themes and client information needs. You will also serve as a key stakeholder in developing and optimizing project workflows, implementing structured QA and feedback loops, and partnering with Product and Operations teams to pilot new AI-enabled tools that elevate both efficiency and insight quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strategic sector roadmap and execution plan, aligning with market and client priorities.
- Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, setting goals, tracking KPIs, and ensuring accountability.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to align operational KPIs with coverage strategy and optimize execution.
- Manage expert budget for the sector, allocating resources to maximize content ROI and maintain quality.
- Oversee a structured QA process for transcripts, ensuring high standards for accuracy, relevance, structure, and analytical depth.
- Collaborate with Director of Research and Content Strategy Analyst to monitor engagement data, identify coverage gaps, and recalibrate project pipelines.
- Collaborate with Director of Research to identify and shape content for revenue-generating efforts.
- Establish and maintain feedback loops to enhance content quality and insight.
- Collaborate with North America directed content teams for quality and consistency.
- Partner with Operations and Product teams to pilot and optimize AI-enabled tools for efficiency.
- Maintain familiarity with developments in Healthcare, TMT, or Energy & Industrial sectors to guide research focus.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or a related analytical role within TMT.
- Deep domain expertise in Healthcare, TMT, or Energy & Industrials, with a strong grasp of key players, business models, and industry trends.
- Strong understanding of European and Asian equity markets.
- Proven people management experience, leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Skilled at translating strategic objectives into actionable research projects.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining quality.
- Strong command of project economics, including budget management, cost optimization, and ROI tracking.
- Adept at cross-functional collaboration with Directors of Research, Go-to-Market, Product, and Compliance.
- Intellectually curious, client-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
