About the Role

The customer is central to our operations, with millions relying on our products daily. We seek a manager to solve critical problems and deliver value for the future of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and promote compliance system development and enhancement.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and analysis, proposing improvements to strengthen the compliance framework.
  • Perform compliance reviews for business initiatives and projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, fiduciary duties, and customer-centric operations.
  • Plan, design, and operate internal compliance awareness programs and training.
  • Identify company-wide issues with a compliance focus, plan and promote improvements, and collaborate with sales, operations, and other related departments.
  • Coordinate and adjust with regional compliance for the deployment of global and regional compliance frameworks and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in legal or compliance operations within the insurance industry or financial institutions, or project experience in financial business compliance or business planning/improvement at a consulting firm.
  • Sufficient knowledge and experience regarding laws and regulations related to the insurance business is desirable.
  • Logical thinking ability.
  • Eagerness to persistently solve problems.
  • Eagerness for process design and improvement.
  • Growth and challenge mindset to adapt to new regulations and technologies.

  • Native Japanese language proficiency
  • Business-level English proficiency (desirable)

  • Hatsudai Headquarters, Tokyo Opera City Tower 30F, 3-20-2 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 163-1430
  • Remote work 1-2 times per week possible after initial in-office period
