About the Role

Join the Operations team, demonstrating high technical ability to deliver mission-critical infrastructure and ensure top-tier availability, performance, and security. The team maintains Trayport’s core application platforms, both on-premise and cloud, with responsibilities for deployment, maintenance, and observability. This role involves delivering and supporting projects and business-as-usual work streams, collaborating closely with Development and customer-facing support teams.

Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor existing on-premise infrastructure.
Support client-facing teams with provisioning new client infrastructure, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Provision new resources and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
Collaborate with Information Security to timely remediate risks and vulnerabilities.
Perform BAU systems administration tasks and processes using automation like Powershell.
Support development teams with deployment and maintenance of business-critical client-facing applications.
Support wider project goals related to key business objectives.

Requirements

Infrastructure and OS background, including Windows and Linux.
Powershell knowledge.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code/Automation concepts.
Knowledge of Virtualisation.
Understanding of Microsoft SQL principles.
Ability to troubleshoot networking issues.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting applications.
Understanding of GIT and code reviews.
Containerisation knowledge (desirable).
Cloud awareness in Microsoft Azure or AWS (desirable).
Exposure to observability tooling (desirable).
Basic knowledge of Agile frameworks.
Knowledge of DevOps methodologies.
Ability to work in a multi-talented team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of ITIL framework.
Availability for out-of-hours work.
