About the Role
Join our UK and Ireland finance team as a commercially astute and data-driven partner to operational leaders. This role requires understanding operations, ensuring decisions are backed by commercial logic, challenging senior leaders, and transforming operational complexity into competitive advantage through strategic insights. It offers broad exposure across business units, shaping how we serve millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with Ops Directors and senior managers in fulfillment and logistics, becoming a trusted advisor.
- Interpret complex data to produce meaningful business insights, explaining the 'why' and 'what next'.
- Evaluate new cost-saving initiatives, commercial partnerships, and revenue opportunities, focusing on ROI.
- Generate reliable, data-driven forecasts with local and international stakeholders, challenging assumptions and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead the Month End accounting process for operations, ensuring accurate management reporting and helping stakeholders understand performance.
- Support the coaching and development of senior financial analysts, providing direction and leadership.
- Advocate for challenging the status quo, optimizing workflows, and maximizing time on value-add topics.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with 2-3 years of PQ experience.
- Experience working within physical product-based businesses (e.g., manufacturing, operational environments, FMCG, or similar industries) would be advantageous.
- Highly commercial with strong financial literacy and proven experience managing simultaneous deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience designing, developing, or maintaining structured scenario planning models to deliver tangible business outcomes.
- Continuous improvement mindset, striving to enhance financial or operational performance and efficiency.
- Aptitude for managing large/complex datasets.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google workspace tools is required.
- SQL exposure would be advantageous.
- Curious and proactive self-starter who seeks to understand concepts deeply and continuously improve processes.
- Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills and financial acumen, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Effective communicator and stakeholder manager, skilled at building strong relationships and influencing outcomes.
- Detail-oriented, accuracy-focused, and comfortable thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and at pace, able to identify value and deliver solutions.
- Independent right to work in the UK.
