About the Role

Seeking a Software Engineer passionate about building with AI, not just AI features. This role involves developing a platform for agentic systems that understands customer problems, defines requirements, and generates/verifies software. The ideal candidate possesses strong engineering fundamentals, a problem-solving mindset, and integrates AI tools into their daily workflow. The position contributes to mature internal frameworks for evaluation, verification, code generation, agentic behavior, RAG, observability, and orchestration, building the platform's core intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain reliable AI-first product features, including internal frameworks and tooling for LLMs.
  • Integrate AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, and similar) into daily workflow for faster development and shipping.
  • Experiment with AI and LLM techniques, models, and approaches to improve output accuracy and reliability.
  • Design and build reusable application architectures and toolchains, collaborating with the software synthesis team.
  • Develop and enhance evaluation systems and benchmarks.
  • Translate ideas from experimentation to production, ensuring a great product outcome.
  • Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code, balancing speed with avoiding technical debt.
  • Contribute to an engineering culture that balances innovation with reliability.

Requirements

  • Strong CS fundamentals: understand architectural trade-offs, scalability, maintainability, make sound long-term engineering decisions, and critically evaluate AI-generated code.
  • AI-native workflow: consistently use AI coding tools and understand their strengths and limitations.
  • LLM experience: professional or personal experience with LLM APIs, building reliable systems, RAG, evaluation pipelines, and observability tooling.
  • Startup mindset: take ownership, comfortable with ambiguity, balance speed with sound engineering judgment, and understand maintainability.
  • Doer mentality: address various problems, move with urgency, pick up tasks, and care about outcomes.
  • Active side projects, open source contributions, or a GitHub demonstrating personal building.
  • Hands-on experimentation with new AI tools and models before mainstream adoption.
  • Experience owning features end-to-end, beyond executing against a specification.
  • Evidence of evolving into architectural decision-making over time, not just rapid prototyping.

Skills

  • Python proficiency
  • Go
  • Rust
  • Modern frontend development
  • Workflow orchestration (Argo, Temporal)
  • Kubernetes
  • CI/CD tooling
  • Compiler theory
  • Code analysis
  • Domain-specific languages
