About the Role
This part-time casual career coach position supports relocation and outplacement solutions for client company employees in the Bay Area/San Francisco. The coach provides one-on-one support, utilizing IMPACT Group's technology and coaching methodology, to help individuals and their spouses/partners acclimate to new cities, find employment, and navigate career transitions.
Responsibilities
- Establish rapport and motivate employees to achieve goals.
- Guide employees through the coaching process and milestone completion.
- Advise and coach on career development, integration, transition issues, and career options.
- Coach on résumé/CV writing, effective marketing techniques, interviewing, and negotiating.
- Maintain internal online service delivery records for each participant.
- Monitor participant progress, consult on job search skills, and address personal issues affecting careers or integration.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in job search strategy and career coaching across various industries and levels.
- Experience coaching individuals, including expats and accompanying spouses, in job search and integration.
- Expertise in resume/CV development, interview preparation, career exploration, LinkedIn profiles, social media platforms, and negotiation.
- Current residency in the Bay Area with knowledge of local living and job searching.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English (verbal and written).
- Experience with virtual coaching.
- Savvy with technology and AI knowledge.
- High-speed internet connection on a personal computer; headset with a microphone required for remote work.
- Ability to analyze and appropriately address transitional needs.
- Ability to engage and foster positive relationships with participants/clients.
- Understanding of business and cultural practices within the US.
- Navigating through VISA challenges and working with career continuation scenarios (a plus).
