About the Role

This customer-facing role is responsible for generating revenue growth through the sale of AspenTech software solutions and professional services. It requires self-motivated individuals with strong business, industry, and sales knowledge, focused on maximizing client value from AspenTech solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage assigned customer accounts and relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate client strategies, manage clients, and close strategic opportunities.
  • Articulate solution business value, lead solution development, and coordinate company resources to meet account objectives and customer expectations.
  • Understand customer business priorities and initiatives.
  • Discuss relevant trends and priorities, integrating industry and solution knowledge.
  • Understand current AspenTech software usage, white space, and competitive software usage within accounts.
  • Manage strategic account plans, opportunity winning plans, competitive displacement plans, and pipeline development plans.
  • Respond to RFPs, prepare bids, follow up, negotiate, and close sales.
  • Provide account updates and sales forecasts to sales and executive management.
  • Achieve aggressive sales quotas.
  • Accurately forecast current and future business deals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of software sales experience or industry experience in a consultative selling role.
  • Strategic sales thinker, able to leverage existing customer solutions across industry sectors.
  • Familiarity with process modeling software products and services, advanced process control/real-time optimization, manufacturing execution systems, and planning/scheduling solutions (preferred).
  • Knowledge of asset management and maintenance business processes.
  • Proven track record in solution sales with multi-year quota achievement.
  • Ability to actively prospect new business within existing accounts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-discipline and motivation to set and achieve ambitious goals.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time.
