About the Role

Join the Acute Admissions Unit team at Cleveland Clinic London. This role involves providing care for patients with acute medical or surgical conditions, working collaboratively to identify needs and plan effective interventions for a smooth recovery and positive patient experience. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care requiring triage, acute assessment, and admission under indirect supervision from senior staff. The position offers a competitive salary and involves a Monday-Sunday rota with day, night, and weekend shifts, including overtime.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Acute Admissions Unit, adhering to CCL policies, procedures, and protocols.
Keep the Acute Admissions Charge Nurse informed of relevant patient care issues, including risk, staffing levels, skills, and equipment needs.
Contribute to outreach and resus team rotas as required.
Support Acute Admissions Charge Nurses and the AAU Manager in implementing and revising core standards of care, policies, and SOPs.
Manage non-conformance to policy, procedure, and standards of care.
Act as a clinical leader and role model, providing quality patient care and sharing expertise with colleagues.

Requirements

Nursing Bachelor’s Degree.
Current First Level nursing registration through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) with no practice restrictions.
Completed and in-date ILS provider course.
Demonstrable clinical and leadership experience in the Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) field.
