About the Role
Ultra Maritime delivers multi-mission solutions for naval forces worldwide, utilizing cutting-edge technology in sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems. The company develops advanced specialist systems for 'five-eyes' Defence customers, revolutionizing naval missions from surface to sub-surface and unmanned platforms. This role contributes to safeguarding seas and empowering navies globally.
Responsibilities
- Design the UK manufacturing process to reproduce the US build at required volumes, including layout, tooling, capital equipment, and workstation setup.
- Understand existing build processes from documentation to replicate them in the UK, adhering to local health, safety, and environmental laws while maintaining US qualified process equivalence.
- Analyze current cycle times and generate capacity models, including resource planning and cost estimation.
- Support production planning studies, contributing to requirements, informing make/buy decisions, and validating processes.
- Work with ITAR Controlled Technical data according to defined procedures.
- Establish quality equivalence between US and UK lines, supporting qualification and certification of UK production, including lot acceptance testing infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with Ultra Maritime Engineering and Production counterparts at the US Source site, involving travel and cross-time zone work.
