About the Role

GLG Research leverages a leading platform for expertise, insights, and intelligence to provide comprehensive answers for complex business challenges. We combine top-tier management consulting and market research with deep industry insights to staff bespoke client engagement teams. These teams utilize GLG capabilities and are supported by a GLG Research team for thought-partnership, quality oversight, and scope management. Our unique approach offers streamlined, customizable project support to deliver in-depth actionable insights. This role supports life sciences, tech, industrial, and private equity clients on strategic topics including market mapping, voice-of-customer, commercial due diligence, and growth strategy engagements. We seek strategy consultant generalists with exposure to Industrials (Keiretsu / Sogo Shosha), Technology, and Life Sciences sectors, possessing a strong fundamental consulting toolkit and a desire to apply these skills across diverse sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client project scoping, development, and closing.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality service and deliverables.
  • Lead engagement teams in market research, pitch material preparation, and report writing for client pitching and project delivery.
  • Develop and grow the expert-led research business in Japan through internal collaboration.
  • Lead research business development initiatives to expand GLG’s footprint in Japan.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience at a strategy consulting or research firm.
  • Experience supporting Industrials, Technology, and Life Sciences projects is desirable.
  • Generalist mindset and ability to pivot across multiple industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial zeal.
  • Successful track record working in a close team environment.
