About the Role
Seeking a Specialty Insurance Domain Expert (Consultant level) with strong expertise across specialty lines such as Cyber, Marine, Energy, Professional Liability, and Excess & Surplus (E&S). The role supports underwriting, distribution, and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze underwriting processes across specialty insurance lines
- Support submission-to-bind lifecycle and policy lifecycle activities
- Understand Broker and MGU distribution channels
- Gather, validate, and document business and functional requirements
- Develop BRDs, use cases, and process flows
- Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Support digital underwriting and automation initiatives
- Act as liaison between business and IT teams
- Facilitate workshops and requirement discussions
- Support UAT and validate outputs
- Assist in deployment and post-go-live activities
Requirements
- 10+ years in P&C Insurance
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
- 5–8+ years in Specialty Insurance
- Strong underwriting knowledge
- Strong distribution knowledge
- SDLC experience
- Agile experience
Skills
- Expertise across specialty lines (Cyber, Marine, Energy, Professional Liability, Excess & Surplus (E&S))
- Exposure to London Market
- Experience with specialty platforms
- Knowledge of submission lifecycle
- Awareness of digital/AI trends
