About the Role

Join the Programs & Engagement Team in Berlin as a part-time working student (20 hours/week) starting September 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diverse research tasks in security and foreign policy contexts.
  • Support the preparation, organization, and execution of various event formats, including program planning for the Munich Security Conference 2027.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support to the Program Director.
  • Draft written correspondence in German and English.
  • Prepare and follow up on various appointments.
  • Perform data entry and analysis, primarily using Excel.
  • Assist with daily office operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Political Science, International Relations, or a related field of study.
  • Possess organizational talent, good manners, openness, and sociability.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and high proficiency in English and German.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Exhibit a hands-on mentality, strong teamwork, attention to detail, and work precisely and conscientiously under pressure.
  • Possess quick comprehension and maintain an overview even in fast-paced situations.
