About the Role
Contribute to the success of the Structured Credit Group in Asia by executing goals and initiatives, supporting business strategies, and ensuring compliance. Help build the business focusing on syndicated and middle market CLOs, Credit Facilities, and ABS products, cultivating direct relationships to source and develop opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Onboard new clients active in the structured credit space.
- Assist with transaction execution and negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless product and service delivery.
- Coordinate with sales teams to identify cross-sell opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity for market share expansion.
- Provide regular updates on sales activities, progress, and results.
- Participate in industry events to promote structured credit products and build relationships.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships.
- Integrate the Bank’s risk appetite and culture into daily activities and decisions.
- Ensure effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, maintaining business controls for operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
- Champion a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
- Support regional and departmental sales strategy for product development, contributing marketing ideas.
- Stay updated on internal and external compliance rules and regulations, including local financial markets and securities regulations.
- Cross-sell FICC/GBM products and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Support business growth in syndicated and middle market CLOs, Credit Facilities, and ABS products.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities beyond structured credit products.
- Assist with transaction execution and negotiation, ensuring follow-through on trades.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in Japanese and English communication.
