About the Role

This pivotal role involves shaping the integration and API architecture for IAG's technology ecosystems, enabling seamless, scalable experiences across customer, partner, and internal channels. You will own the architecture vision and roadmap for integration and channel enablement, ensuring connectivity, APIs, and channel platforms support scalable growth and innovation. Collaborating with business and technology leaders, you will influence decisions balancing speed, flexibility, and enterprise-wide scale, while maintaining a future-focused architecture direction. This role is central to evolving IAG’s enterprise ecosystem, integration capabilities, and architectural maturity, especially with AI-led opportunities, and requires confident partnership with EGM-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive target-state architecture for integration and channel enablement across IAG’s ecosystems
  • Own the architecture roadmap, ensuring scalable, coherent connectivity across internal and external platforms
  • Shape and evolve IAG’s enterprise API strategy, including governance, lifecycle management and API-first design
  • Lead cross-channel thinking, ensuring seamless integration across customer, partner and broker platforms
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, modernise and optimise integration and channel architectures
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, solution architects and delivery teams to bring strategy to life
  • Influence enterprise-wide decisions to ensure integration investments support a reusable, scalable connectivity layer

Requirements

  • Significant experience in enterprise architecture, with deep expertise in integration architecture, API strategy or channel platforms
  • Strong knowledge of API platforms, middleware, event-driven architectures and multi-channel ecosystems
  • Proven ability to define architecture strategies and roadmaps and translate them into delivery outcomes at scale
  • Experience shaping API strategy and governance within complex enterprises
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across multiple portfolios and ecosystems
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving in ambiguous environments
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
  • Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF) advantageous but not essential
