About the Role
This role is at the forefront of creating how AI is deployed at Fetch, owning AI governance and information security end-to-end. It involves shaping the AI capability, ensuring what is shipped is safe, trusted, and delivers compelling value within the pet ecosystem. The position focuses on turning raw AI models into secure, trusted solutions, recognizing that security and AI governance are intertwined conversations at Fetch.
Responsibilities
- Lead Fetch’s AI governance and control systems across the business.
- Lead Fetch's ISMS and security posture across the business.
- Ensure every AI model and information system is monitored and auditable.
- Drive best practices implementation across the business, including certification standards.
- Translate regulatory and compliance obligations into operational competitive advantages for a rapidly scaling startup.
- Define deployment standards, judgment, and guardrails for AI systems before they go live.
- Develop a unified InfoSec and AI governance operating model, including a single framework, risk register, and control set.
- Establish an AI assurance program with pre-deployment risk assessment, red-teaming, adversarial testing, evaluation loops, drift monitoring, and decommissioning triggers.
- Implement system-level guardrails, such as blocking secrets, scoping service-account access, enforcing risk-register compliance automatically, and pushing security to the code level.
- Ensure third-party InfoSec and AI risk discipline through diligence on models and vendor stacks.
- Support incident response readiness, resiliency, and business continuity.
- Implement security tooling for incident logging, automatic security event summaries, and seamless monitoring across systems.
- Plan and deploy resources efficiently to align with Fetch's strategy and scale-up ambitions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of positive impact in information security.
- Demonstrated technical capability in standing up frameworks, classifying models and systems by risk, and defending decisions.
- Pragmatic, outcomes-driven builder who prioritizes shipping controls.
- Clear communicator capable of briefing executives and collaborating with frontline operations.
- Experience with ISO 27001 and/or ISO 42001 implementation.
- Experience in regulated environments (financial services, insurance, health, or similarly scrutinized).
