Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure efficient performance of medical imaging and ancillary equipment.
• Prepare written and electronic reports for procedures and test results.
• Maintain high standards of practice, imaging quality, and patient care.
• Assist in data processing.
• Attend teaching, training, educational, research, safety, quality improvement programs, and other meetings.
• Participate in research, patient safety, and staff/student education.
• Understand Hospital and departmental policies to provide input for designing imaging policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements, maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Perform assigned or requested cross-functional responsibilities.
• Perform other job classification-related duties.
• Identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster safe and exemplary care.

Requirements

• Completion of a recognized degree/diploma Ultrasound program.
• Current registration with the CMRITO.
• Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification.
• One year of recent related experience.
• Ability to cover all shifts as required.
• Professional behavior and communication meeting regulatory college/association and Women’s College Hospital standards.
• Advocate for safety, demonstrating principles, practices, and processes to optimize a safe environment.
