About the Role

The Solutions Consultant role evolves the traditional Sales Engineering function, focusing on understanding customer environments, providing solution guidance, and ensuring value realization from Palo Alto Networks investments. This position offers technical leadership and expertise, guiding customers through their security transformation journey. Key responsibilities include defining technical solutions to secure business imperatives and evangelizing Palo Alto Networks' leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security operations services to establish the company as the cybersecurity partner of choice.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales quotas through strategic technical account plans targeting cross-platform solutions.
  • Understand customer business requirements to position, demonstrate, and design PANW portfolio solutions, creating business value.
  • Drive customer adoption of the Palo Alto Networks Platform.
  • Build customer relationships by enhancing productivity, operational efficiency, security efficacy, and innovation flexibility.
  • Conduct discovery to articulate technical, operational, and commercial imperatives for prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams for solution implementation and adoption.
  • Deliver impactful technical presentations, demos, engagements, and workshops, simplifying complex ideas for various audiences.
  • Lead successful technical validation efforts to secure technical wins in assigned opportunities.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership, orchestrating resources for a cohesive strategy.
  • Promote end-to-end solutions, including professional services, for faster customer value realization.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and differentiate PANW's cybersecurity leadership.
  • Continuously develop technical and professional skills, participate in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.
  • Identify technical stakeholders and cultivate relationships to drive security architecture transformation roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in pre-sales/sales engineering.
  • Skilled in at least one of the following: Networking, Network Security, Cybersecurity, Private/Public Cloud Security, SOC/Endpoint, or SASE.
  • Preferred experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives.
  • Ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders; prior pre-sales experience ideal.
  • Experience creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements.
  • Experience selling, designing, implementing, or managing Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
  • Experience partnering with Customer Support for successful solution implementation and adoption.
  • Preferred experience in complex sales involving long sales processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions.
  • Ability to travel for in-person customer meetings.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
