About the Role
Franklin Templeton, a forward-thinking asset manager, builds dynamic client relationships, leverages cutting-edge strategies, and deep insights to unlock long-term wealth creation opportunities. The company has an industry-leading range of capabilities across traditional and alternative asset classes. The Product team aims to expand its product line-up to offer these capabilities to Japanese investors.
Responsibilities
- Develop, change, and terminate products (Investment Trust, Separate Account, Sub-Advisory Business) in collaboration with global investment, sales, operation, risk management, and legal compliance teams.
- Plan product strategies by analyzing Franklin Templeton group and competitor products, and researching market/industry movements.
- Update product line-up in collaboration with other teams.
- Maintain and upgrade product quality through product review, manager due diligence, and product governance.
- Cover a wide range of product tasks (planning, structuring, maintaining) while working with other departments.
- Explore new strategies and structures in alternative or sub-advisory fields.
- Communicate with global Investment/Product teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the financial service industry.
- Experience in product development, change, or closure projects preferred.
- Expertise in investment management and financial markets.
- Knowledge of alternative investments preferred.
- Team player with strong stakeholder coordination skills.
- Proactive learner of industry trends, knowledge, and skills.
- Challenger who embraces major change with a positive attitude.
- Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent business-level communication in Japanese.
- Excellent business-level communication in English.
