About the Role
This full-time night shift position involves providing sleep services, primarily on weekends, to facilitate diagnostic testing and patient care at a sleep lab in Port Jefferson, NY.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate polysomnographic tests and collect accurate data.
- Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks per established protocols.
- Record patient activities, monitor study quality, and document clinical events (e.g., respiratory and cardiac episodes).
- Score clinical events and tabulate data for physician review.
- Adhere to safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
Requirements
- Possess NY licensure.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Ability to use hands to operate equipment.
- Possess close, distance, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Provide vaccination and immunization records or titers if required.
- Meet federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation).

Experience Level
- Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting
Education Level
- High school diploma or higher
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Salary/Compensations
- $40 to $55 an hour
