About the Role
Seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift at a sleep lab in Hauppauge, NY. This role provides sleep services, primarily on weekends, to facilitate diagnostic testing and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate polysomnographic tests and collect accurate data.
- Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks per established protocols.
- Record patient activities, monitor study quality, and document clinical events.
- Score clinical events and tabulate data for physician review.
- Adhere to safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or higher required.
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program required.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- NY licensure required.
- Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Ability to use hands to operate equipment.
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly.
- Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds frequently.
- Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds occasionally.
- Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required.
- Must meet federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation).
