About the Role

Provide sleep services, including diagnostic testing and patient care, in a full-time night shift position primarily on weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate polysomnographic tests and collect accurate data
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks per protocols
  • Record patient activities, monitor study quality, and document clinical events
  • Score clinical events and tabulate data for physician review
  • Adhere to safety regulations and laboratory protocols

Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • NY licensure
  • Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear
  • Ability to use hands to operate equipment
  • Close, distance, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required
  • Meet federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation)

Location

  • West Islip, NY

Work Type

Experience Level

  • Experienced
  • Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting

Salary/Compensations

  • $40 to $55 an hour
  • Competitive hourly rates, based on experience and patient ratio
