About the Role
Assist the Property Manager in overall property operations, including daily policy and procedure implementation. Maintain acceptable occupancy levels and foster a supportive environment for all residents, including those with special needs. Interact with and oversee vendors, and maintain effective relationships with onsite support staff.
Responsibilities
- Interview and screen prospective residents.
- Prepare, process, and sign leases and rules.
- Purchase general supplies and services following P.O. policies.
- Assist with inspections and monitor work orders.
- Collect rent, process receipts, and prepare deposits using Boston Post property management software.
- Draft warning letters and legal notices for residents.
- Submit required reports and maintain records per company policies.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- Excellent problem-solving, listening, and deductive reasoning skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 1-2 years of property management experience, preferably with Tax Credit properties.
- Prior experience managing affordable housing complexes.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel for training purposes.
- Knowledge of company policies, federal, state, and local laws, Tax Credit Section 42, and tenant-related rules.
