About the Role
This role is the Head of Americas Compliance & Canada Chief Compliance Officer within PayPal’s Global Compliance function. Responsibilities include delivering on compliance and regulatory requirements for PayPal Canada Co., legal entities in Brazil, Mexico, and supporting Latin America, ensuring adherence to local laws. The Senior Director, Compliance provides expert input, developing a compliance vision aligned with PayPal's strategy, focusing on long-term success, anticipating regulatory changes, and directing activities that impact organizational regulatory posture and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate comprehensive compliance vision and strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory landscape.
- Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership and board on regulatory requirements, program effectiveness, and emerging risks.
- Lead the compliance team, establishing vision, strategy, and operating model for excellence.
- Direct compliance strategy and program effectiveness across multiple business areas, making strategic decisions impacting regulatory adherence.
- Anticipate regulatory changes, enforcement trends, and industry developments to position the organization for compliance leadership.
- Establish methods, techniques, and frameworks for compliance program management, defining organizational capability and regulatory integrity.
- Build strategic relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and external partners to enhance PayPal's compliance posture and influence.
- Develop next-generation compliance leadership through mentorship, succession planning, and fostering a world-class compliance culture.
- Represent PayPal as a thought leader in regulatory compliance and governance through industry engagement, publications, and strategic initiatives.

Salary/Compensations
- Toronto, Ontario: $187,000.00 - $265,650.00
