About the Role
Nestlé Canada Confectionery has an immediate opening to join the production team at our chocolate manufacturing plant in Toronto, Ontario. This is an 8-hour shift position with open availability, potentially including weekend work based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform general production jobs involving repetitive bending, pushing, twisting, pulling, lifting, and machine operation.
- Perform assigned cleaning duties, including equipment, facility, and washrooms.
- Perform all duties safely, complying with safety, environmental, and quality policies, accident prevention, and compliance programs.
- Work varied shifts; overtime may be required, including weekends.
- Adhere to plant quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Credentials obtained outside of Canada require an evaluation for Canadian educational equivalence.
- 1 to 3 years of manufacturing/warehouse experience (asset).
- Computer knowledge.
- Ability to understand and interpret job specifications and procedures.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, requiring minimal supervision.
