About the Role

Responsible for client portfolio growth and retention, collaborating with the Commercial Banking Regional Manager to deepen relationships. Develop robust relationship service plans through cross-selling bank products and services and forward-looking business planning. Facilitate comprehensive analysis of credit facilities to generate income and maximize Return on Assets (ROA).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for assigned complex Commercial or Business relationships across the Bank’s footprint.
  • Proactively retain and expand client relationships through regular contact.
  • Provide preliminary analysis and information for annual reviews, renewals, and new relationships.
  • Monitor and assist with relationship profitability, retention, and growth.
  • Respond timely to portfolio balance changes, including financial ticklers and covenant management.
  • Maintain a loan portfolio, minimizing risk and adhering to Bank policy for delinquencies and weak loans.
  • Recommend and model appropriate loan structures for expanding relationships.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for loan package completion is acquired.
  • Coordinate with business partners or Regional Manager to identify expansion and retention opportunities.
  • Conduct quarterly, semi-annual, or annual business reviews with partners for financial reports, industry outlook, and benchmarking data.
  • Participate in research, preparation, and understanding of customer relationships and industry changes.
  • Understand the Bank’s products and services and support the "Service with Solutions" culture.
  • Identify referral opportunities and introduce other business lines.
  • Review credit risk ratings and borrower/guarantor analysis.
  • Assess changes, identify offsetting mitigates, and summarize recommendations.
  • Maintain current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws, including BSA, Information Security, Identity Theft Red Flags, and Financial Elder Abuse Reporting.

Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience within the financial industry.
  • Financial analysis experience and credit training.
  • Ability to fully analyze and underwrite all types of loans.
  • Superior understanding and analysis of financial statements, collateral, DSCR, and covenant compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of financial literacy.
  • Effective presentation skills to C-Suite executives and organizations.
  • Experience with financial analysis programs and discounted cash flow models.
