About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable After School Tennis Coaches to teach fun, beginner-friendly tennis sessions for elementary school students (Grades K–5) at various school sites around the Bay Area. Programs run Monday to Friday, 1PM to 5PM, typically involving one hour of teaching per day with potential pre-care. The role focuses on creating an energetic environment for young, beginner-level children. Compensation for After School Programs is $50–$65 per session, and all necessary equipment is provided. Regular Tennis Clinics offer $18–$24 per hour for 2–4 hours of work, based on tennis skills and class level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach tennis classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
  • Manage class sizes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
  • Attend a 2-day training or shadowing session prior to starting.
  • Utilize company-provided equipment.
  • Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents/school staff.
  • Capture class photos for documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Previous tennis teaching or playing experience preferred.
  • USPTA/PTR certification is a plus.
  • Enjoy working with kids; patient, enthusiastic, and reliable.
  • Good communication and class management skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation around the East Bay and Peninsula.
  • Must be fully vaccinated.
  • Willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work.
  • Complete sending photo and short biography for website upload, introducing sports experience.
  • Must have valid work permit to work in USA.
  • Must currently live locally in the Bay Area.
  • Available for in-person work.
