About the Role

Join our 20-member IT team in Berlin as a Senior IT Administrator – Data Center. You will be part of the DataCenterOps team, responsible for the stable and secure operation of our data center.

Responsibilities

• Operate, administer, and develop the virtualization environment (VMware vSphere 8).
• Provision, operate, and optimize Linux systems, focusing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Maintain and develop server and storage infrastructure (Dell, NetApp).
• Ensure high availability (HA) and performance of systems in 24/7 operation.
• Analyze and resolve incidents, and implement sustainable error prevention.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects (e.g., hardware migrations, network modernization, automation).
• Collaborate with adjacent teams (CloudOps, SupportOps, SolutionOps).
• Support standardization and automation of operational processes (e.g., Terraform).
• Document and build knowledge (Confluence, Jira).

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or equivalent qualification.
• Several years (5+) of experience in data center infrastructure operations.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux, ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere).
• Practical experience with enterprise hardware (Server/Storage), ideally Dell and NetApp.
• Understanding of complex IT infrastructures (network, virtualization, storage, security).
• Structured, analytical working style and high sense of responsibility.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Excellent German and good English language skills.
