About the Role
This role involves working within the field of rare MC4R pathway diseases, with sales responsibility for the product in the UK and Ireland for Acquired Hypothalamic Obesity (aHO) within a designated territory. The role requires collaboration with national and international teams to support sales strategy and serve as a trusted commercial partner to external experts and decision makers through scientific expertise, project management, healthcare network formation, and service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales responsibility for products within a designated territory.
- Develop strong collaborations with key external experts and multidisciplinary teams.
- Achieve business growth targets in the UK and Ireland.
- Support the development and expansion of comprehensive care and patient support programs.
- Challenge current practices to optimize patient outcomes.
- Discuss clinical data benefits to improve patient lives and foster product advocacy.
- Facilitate referral pathways between peripheral sites and prescribing centers.
- Lead an omnichannel customer approach tailored to segmentation and preferences.
- Apply thorough knowledge of national policy to partner with clinicians for optimal patient management and revenue growth.
- Identify and contribute to key projects, including national meetings and congresses.
- Collect and share customer and environmental insights for optimal patient management.
- Lead or support regional and national conferences and local educational meetings.
- Perform regular market, customer, and competitor observation.
- Lead territory planning, tracking, and reporting processes, including account plans.
- Utilize CRM system for business planning.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, local guidelines, ethics, and law.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of documented sales experience in the pharma (specialty care)/biotech industry in the UK.
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders (HCPs, specialist nurses, hospital pharmacists, payors, multi-disciplinary teams).
- Proven experience facilitating referral pathways.
- Demonstrated experience with successful product launches.
- Experience and track record using IT-based/virtual customer interaction and promotional tools.
- Experience in site-specific project management.
- Financial acumen and commercial savviness.
- Ability to identify opportunities, manage complexity and priorities, and influence internally while navigating uncertainty.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach and integrity.
- Cross-functional mindset focused on seamless collaboration with the local medical team.
