About the Role
The Graphic Designer creates visual designs for print, digital, and broadcast mediums, ensuring effective communication of campaign messages and goals to the target audience. This includes developing layouts, typography, illustrations, and infographics. The role involves creating and maintaining design guidelines, overseeing production for technical and visual accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery of designs. This position requires collaboration with creative team members like copywriters and art directors, and includes overseeing and mentoring junior designers.
Responsibilities
- Create visual designs for various mediums such as print, digital, and broadcast.
- Develop designs that effectively communicate campaign messages and goals.
- Produce layouts, typography, illustrations, and infographics.
- Create and maintain design guidelines.
- Oversee production to ensure technical and visual accuracy of designs.
- Ensure timely delivery of designs.
- Collaborate with copywriters and art directors.
- Oversee and mentor junior designers.
- Conceptualize and design digital content across various asset types.
- Partner with a Digital Content Strategist and media team to deliver high-quality agile digital content.
- Develop all agile content and ensure timely, quality delivery.
- Work independently on design-only projects.
- Produce websites and mobile apps based on wireframes.
- Manage projects from concept phase to realization phase.
- Collaborate with other team members.
- Design and produce online content, including social media and display banners.
- Art direct still/video shoots.
- Collaborate with media teams to ensure designs align with the brand image.
- Ensure consistency in designs and content across all company platforms.
- Review product positioning and online marketing content to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with developers to oversee the smooth implementation of content.
- Create a range of cross-platform design work from scamps or design-led projects.
- Develop designs that drive user acquisition and retention metrics across all channels.
- Collaborate with Creatives, UX, or Developers to deliver high-quality digital output.
- Stay updated with emerging digital trends and culture to make recommendations.
- Articulate and present creative ideas/treatments.
Requirements
- Ability to design overall creative test assets, including aesthetics, typography, color, brand, iconography, imagery, layout, and concept sophistication.
- Experience as the owner of a brand’s Visual Brand Language/Design Guidelines.
- Capability to work across static, video, and animation asset types.
- Skill to review existing content and identify how to pivot into testable assets.
- Comfortable challenging content strategists and brand teams to push work forward.
- Strong conceptual, composition, photo art direction, and ideation skills.
- Digitally native with an understanding of effective designs for key digital platforms.
- Ability to think about overall design and voice for broad impact.
- Well-versed in best practices for various digital social media deliverables, including video and display.
- Detail-oriented, diligent in tracking and naming files and versions.
- Digital portfolio showcasing a variety of professional design projects, including digital, social, web, and motion.
- Hands-on experience with creative graphic production design software and image editing software.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and banner development.
- Critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple creative projects.
