About the Role

The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC units in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
• Install ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect and troubleshoot problems with existing HVAC units.
• Install replacement parts on existing HVAC units.
• Maintain inventory of replacement parts and order replacements.
• Comply with company and industry safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• 6+ years of HVAC systems and equipment experience.
• Proficiency in using power and hand tools.
• Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other HVAC testing devices.
• Ability to read HVAC system operation and repair manuals.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship.
• Physical ability to work on HVAC units.
• Ability to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat.
• Ability to perform prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
