About the Role
Lead complex Financial Lines claims, provide expert technical guidance, and shape claims strategy. Ensure high-quality decision-making, support business performance, and deliver exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical management of complex Financial Lines claims
- Act as a key escalation point for high-value or sensitive claims issues
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to claims and underwriting teams
- Support consistent reserving and coverage decisions across the portfolio
- Collaborate with underwriting on policy wording and product development
- Engage with brokers, reinsurers, and other stakeholders on claims matters
- Manage service providers and drive effective claims resolution strategies
- Deputize for the Head of Specialty Casualty Claims when required
- Contribute to strategic initiatives across the Claims function
Requirements
- Significant experience (circa 10+ years) in insurance within the London and/or international market
- Deep expertise in Financial Lines claims handling
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to interpret complex coverage issues
- Confident communicator who can influence and build relationships at all levels
- Leadership capability with experience mentoring or guiding teams
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
