About the Role

Lead the Prepared Foods Department, overseeing chef-crafted meals, grab-and-go offerings, soups, salads, sandwiches, and hot table programs. This role suits someone who thrives in food retail operations and enjoys building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Prepared Foods Department in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Oversee food quality, freshness, merchandising, and presentation standards.
• Manage ordering, inventory, shrink, labour, and department profitability.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive team culture.
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards are maintained.
• Support production planning and execution to meet sales and volume demands.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support a hospitality-driven culture.
• Jump into operations as needed, as this is a hands-on leadership role.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in prepared foods, grocery, hospitality, catering, or food production.
• Strong understanding of food operations, inventory control, and merchandising.
• Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as required.
• A genuine passion for food and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
