About the Role

PolySwarm develops innovative information security solutions through a marketplace where commercial and independent researchers detect threats and are compensated based on performance. This role involves implementing features, building microservices, integrating with frontends and other services, and testing work in various environments. Responsibilities include writing/revising Kubernetes charts for deployment, assisting security experts with microengine deployment, and improving threat intelligence product integrations. As a key architect, you will contribute to the design and implementation of new services and major features. This position offers broad decision-making responsibility concerning architecture, infrastructure, deployment, scale, access control, continuous integration, and tooling, playing a critical role in making PolySwarm a competitive anti-malware platform.

Responsibilities

Implement features
Build new microservices in Django or Flask+SQLAlchemy
Integrate microservices with NodeJS frontend or other internal Python/Rust microservices
Test work in a local end-to-end testing environment
Push work to GitHub for code-review
Test work in GitLab CI
Test work in staging environment
Write or revise Kubernetes charts and values for correct deployment
Coordinate with the team for production deployment
Help security experts create and deploy microengines
Build or improve PolySwarm integration for threat intelligence products
Architect new services or major features
Provide input into design and implementation details

Requirements

Comfortable with a LLM-assisted development environment
Proficient with software debugging and testing tools
Proficient with Docker and Docker Compose
Proficient in dealing with Kubernetes deployments and distributed computing
Experience with databases, caches, and queueing systems
Comfortable working in a remote-only environment
Analytical mind
Confidence to share ideas
Ability to clearly describe and document ideas
Ability to constructively critique own ideas and team members' ideas
Ability to independently motivate and self-direct
Ability to collaborate and work in a team
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Successfully pass the Voight-Kampff test
