About the Role
Act as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy, promoting Amgen products under the District Manager's guidance. Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals, supporting Amgen's mission to serve patients with serious illnesses and advance science to improve lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products.
- Effectively communicate clinical and economic benefits of products to medical professionals.
- Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales.
- Implement and deliver branded sales messages strategies.
- Deliver branded sales messages.
- Implement planned programs.
- Schedule and follow-up with medical educational programs.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts.
- Ensure product access.
- Resolve/triage reimbursement issues.
- Maintain product contracts.
- Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis.
- Develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustain passion for products through the entire sales cycle.
- Build the brand while serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices.
- Continuously learn and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Leverage passion for disease state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device industry, or hospital sales.
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device industry, or hospital sales.
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device industry, or hospital sales.
- Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
