About the Role
Finance are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the team. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting and inventory accounting.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring completeness and compliance with accounting standards.
- Produce and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
- Oversee end-to-end inventory accounting, including tracking, reconciliation, and journal postings.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls in line with PCAOB requirements and applicable accounting regulations.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and supporting analysis.
- Compile and analyze monthly sales data, including posting sales-related adjustments to the general ledger.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across finance operations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business operations and financial drivers.
- Support ad-hoc projects and coordinate with external tax and accounting advisors.
Requirements

- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy and organization.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups).
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAEW or equivalent).
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
