About the Role

Lead the end-to-end Go-to-Market process for BLC Near Me, focusing on connecting members with local offers from independent businesses. Build the sales and marketing engine, manage a small team, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data to ensure scalable growth. Utilize AI for research, personalized outreach, content acceleration, and campaign iteration, while upholding brand, compliance, and member trust.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end GTM strategy and execution for BLC Near Me, including positioning, messaging, acquisition, activation, and merchant retention, with budget accountability.
  • Design and launch new sales motions for small local retailers, covering segmentation, lead sources, outreach, pitching, pricing, and close playbooks.
  • Lead the launch of a Freemium listings model for small local retailers, defining proposition and GTM approach.
  • Build the marketing engine, including content and offer strategy, campaign planning, channel experimentation, and performance reporting.
  • Specify and configure HubSpot for pipeline management, including lifecycle stages, automation, sequences, dashboards, forecasting, and data quality.
  • Own funnel and revenue metrics (leads, conversion rates, CAC, activation, retention, unit economics) and drive improvements through a weekly operating rhythm.
  • Oversee lifecycle growth, including merchant onboarding, communications, renewal, retention, and feedback loops for product and proposition.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data to reduce onboarding and conversion friction for merchants and members.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading combined sales and marketing GTM functions with revenue accountability, ideally in early-stage environments.
  • Strong track record selling to small local retailers or SMEs, building repeatable inbound and outbound acquisition motions.
  • Experience setting up sales CRM capability (HubSpot or similar) for pipeline stages, automation, reporting, forecasting, and team adoption.
  • Growth marketing capability in channel testing, messaging, creative iteration, experimentation, and performance measurement.
  • Commercial sharpness, understanding unit economics, payback, and scalable levers, with comfort owning full-funnel revenue metrics.
  • Experience managing and developing a small team with clear goals and a balanced operating cadence.
  • Demonstrable, opinionated approach to using AI in GTM workflows to improve research, personalization, content, or sales effectiveness.
  • Experience in local commerce, marketplace, or membership and loyalty models (advantageous).
