About the Role

Own and execute EHS strategies that align with corporate objectives and aspirations. Utilize leading and lagging KPI metrics to drive EHS performance. Report and communicate EHS results, key initiatives, and action plans to key stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute EHS strategies that align with corporate objectives and aspirations.
  • Utilize leading and lagging KPI metrics to drive EHS performance.
  • Report and communicate EHS results, key initiatives, and action plans to key stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Partner and collaborate with Heinz Legal and Communications Department regarding incidents that could jeopardize people, plant, and/or brands.
  • Keep abreast of applicable EHS legislation and practices that impact the factory.
  • Develop and manage department EHS financial budget.
  • Engage, partner, and enroll various teams and individuals, across the factory shopfloor and corporate personnel in the EHS journey.
  • Ensure site adherence to applicable KraftHeinz policies/procedures, processes, and operating principles.
  • Revise and evolve policies and/or procedures as necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement, capability, and culture across the plant towards best-in-class performance and a zero-incident mindset.
  • Implement KraftHeinz EHS Management Systems and Best Practices as designed.
  • Provide training to staff and employees to ensure recognition of their role in supporting the KH journey.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS legislation and regulatory bodies, including Federal, State, and local requirements.
  • Develop and maintain new and current processes and tools to ensure sustained compliance with all Federal, State, and local EHS regulations.
  • Facilitate Workers’ Compensation process with diligence if/as required.
  • Benchmark best practice internally and externally.
  • Apply learnings and insights with pace into own operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in safety and environmental management
  • Prior experience with Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team-oriented fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to grow with the organization and commit to attaining aggressive organizational objectives
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene (preferred)
  • Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM) (preferred)
  • 30 hour OSHA Certified (preferred)
  • Certification in Ergonomics (preferred)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) (preferred)
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) (preferred)

Salary/Compensations

  • Base Salary Range: $104,200.00 - $130,200.00
  • Eligible for a performance-based bonus
