About the Role

Help bring recipes to life, express creativity, and experiment with cuisines, flavors, and cooking styles using fresh ingredients and quality equipment. Adhere to production guidelines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use various utensils, including knives.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
• Perform various cooking methods: baking, roasting, broiling, steaming for meats, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Properly store food, adhering to food safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor with guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies, including food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.

Requirements

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations (handling, sanitation, storage).
• Ability to acquire food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
