About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Suicide Prevention Program (Enrichment Experience), the Team Leader directs and supervises staff activities, leads team organizational and service planning meetings, provides direction to staff regarding individual cases, and also serves as the team’s Vocational & Educational Specialist. This role requires expertise in staff supervision, educational/vocational support, youth, and suicide prevention activities. The Team Leader provides supportive and proactive interventions to clients with mental health challenges, offering or linking to therapy, psychoeducation, care management, advocacy, and crisis intervention. This leader supports individuals and families through difficult times, aiming to improve outcomes in people's lives, while displaying utmost professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all program aspects.
  • Conduct daily morning meetings and group supervision for the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Conduct bi-weekly individual supervision for team members.
  • Direct client services.
  • Implement the program model and manage daily team operations.
  • Serve as the point person for referrals, assigning and tracking outreach efforts.
  • Ensure program services comply with OMH regulatory standards.
  • Supervise program staff.
  • Conduct initial and continuing staff training.
  • Ensure implementation of safety and emergency services.
  • Manage admissions, discharges, outreach, engagement, assessment, and care coordination assignments.
  • Oversee assessments and care management planning for timely access to services.
  • Ensure documentation of program services in client charts and program records.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits to assess service effectiveness, ensure client chart compliance, and maintain service quality.
  • Ensure required reporting to regulatory bodies and third-party payers.
  • Liaise with other providers for service access and care coordination.
  • Manage payroll reports, review employee timesheets, and monitor hours worked and vacation time.
  • Submit required reports.
  • Be on call for emergencies.

Requirements

  • Experience with diverse populations and age groups (children and young adults).
  • Experience facilitating group process.
  • Demonstrated competency in documentation of services.
  • Experience providing educational and vocational support.
  • Experience in suicide prevention strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience with NYSOMH services and regulations.
  • Current, clean driver's license.

Experience Level

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with marginalized populations in a clinical capacity.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the behavioral health field, preferably with experience on a multi-disciplinary mental health provider team.
  • Previous management and supervisory experience.

Education Level

  • M.A. degree or higher in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related human service field.

Salary/Compensations

  • $80,000.00 - $85,000.00
