About the Role
Provide exceptional, efficient, and courteous service to guests in the hotel's complimentary breakfast area.
Responsibilities
- Engage guests and employees with attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented interactions.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and wear the proper uniform and name tag.
- Ensure menu cleanliness and appearance meet quality standards.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables and hotel spaces as requested or instructed.
- Ensure service areas are stocked, organized, clean, neat, and all side work is completed each shift.
- Accommodate guest special requests and offer alternatives when necessary.
- Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs.
- Support all beverage and food service areas, including dishwashing, restocking, cleaning floors, work tables, walls, refrigerators, and managing trash.
- Possess complete knowledge of room service order receiving standards.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties per station rotation.
- Answer questions about the hotel, brand standards, guest expectations, unique characteristics, and local attractions.
- Perform other duties or attend meetings as requested by management.
- Produce high-quality drinks, including specialty coffee, tea, cocktails, and other beverage requests.
Requirements
- Meet legal age for serving alcoholic beverages and pass a responsible serving course (e.g., TIPs).
- Obtain and provide a Food Handler's card as required by local regulations.
Skills
- Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions.
- Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select alternative courses of action.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
- Professional communication skills for phone interactions and speaking with guests and team members.

- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Basic numerical operation skills (counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing).
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Effective customer and staff interaction with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Willingness to learn new tasks, provide team support, and respond positively to guests and co-workers.
